Oxford English Dictionary 2018 App Reviews

Disappointing! Get Merriam Webster rather.

This is a very disappointing app. The definitions are fine. But formatting is basic, and very unappealing from an aesthetic perspective. The audio is not great. I also have the Merriam app, which is cheaper and far superior in terms of format and functionality.

Excellent

Theyve done a really good job at making a digital dictionary. Its hyperlinked. You can photograph a word instead of typing. And theres even a nifty word of the day feature thats unobtrusive.

bad design

its design is very bad please change it

Very useful, but some remarks

I use it really daily. I like the update and esp. the option to export separate words with definitions. CONS: the Favorite list became clumsy to use. I have a long one. After viewing a word, there is no back button, you slide it to so back, but it will return you to the top of the list. Now you have to scroll all the way down again to find the next word.

Oxford dictionary mobile app

Ive had this app two days and already having problems. When I hit the play button to hear the word it will not play the word back to me. I feel like I wasted $20.

Audio lacking

Nice but would prefer American pronunciation for a product downloaded in the US.

AWFUL APP

Simply awful!!! The Word of the Day is "tire"?!?!?!?!

Meh

I hoped for a better product. Merriam-Webster is free and more comprehensive albeit with stupid adverts. Please beef it up, Oxford. Especially for $30.00.
